2008 Spring Plant Sale
The sixteenth annual UDBG Spring Plant Sale will soon be upon us! General admission is Saturday, April 26, 2008 with special hours on Friday for UDBG Friends’ members and preorder pick-ups. See Schedule of Events for more information.
FEATURE PLANT: REDBUD (CERCIS SPP.)
The redbud’s claim to fame is a dazzling display in mid- to late April, when bare branches erupt with clusters of blooms ranging from white to pale pink to deep magenta. This year’s sale offers a range of native, Asian and Middle Eastern species and cultivars, including dwarf and weeping forms new to the trade.
NEW FOR 2008
- Join us for a new silent auction at the annual Spring Plant Sale Highlights Lecture on March 18, where you can both learn about this year's offerings and bid on a few select gems that won't be found at the sale.
- Lend your landscape a tropical look with our new tender perennials. Their bold textures, vivid colors, and rich growth offer a long season of interest. Elephant ears, Cyperus, and an assortment of salvias will be available. (Please note: These plants will be offered day of sale only, not by preorder.)
- Make an instant impact on your landscape with our expanded selection of larger, fuller-sized plants.
PLANT SALE SPECIALS (NEW!)
- Orders exceeding $350 will receive a FREE 1 gallon Cercis canadensis 'Forest Pansy' -- a $35 value!
- Blue and Gold specials: Plants marked with a blue dot are discounted by 33% and those with a gold dot by 50%.
PREORDERS
Order early to get the plants you want, as quantities are limited. Preorders will be accepted until April 7.
UDBG Friends members will receive preorder priority--one of the many reasons to join! All other preorders will be processed in the order received.
Please note we do not ship preorders; they must be picked up at the UDBG.
