Give an unrestricted gift to support garden projects, maintenance, and programs.
UD Botanic Gardens Endowment
Established in 2013 to ensure the long-term viability, growth, and service as a living museum and teaching landscape to UD students, faculty, researchers, and the public.
Student Program (Plant Sale Patrons)
Become a Spring Plant Sale Patron to support the Student Program. Summer and school-year internships and a curatorial graduate student help maintain, develop, and interpret the plant collection and gardens. They gain practical experience and training that complements classroom learning. Financial support of this program is enormously dependent upon the generosity of Plant Sale Patrons. Gifts of $130 and above are invited to a special reception at the Spring Plant Sale, where they have the first opportunity to shop. All Patrons are listed in the Plant Sale Catalog if received prior to January 31st.
Gift in Memory or Honor
Give a gift to honor someone or to celebrate a major life event. To dedicate a bench is $5,000.00, which pays for the bench, site pad, installation, and memorial plaque. A portion of the cost is placed into an endowment for maintenance and repairs.
Check to see if your employer will match your gift to UDBG.
Gifts in Kind
UDBG accepts gifts-in-kind, such as services or equipment, when they fulfill the needs and mission of the organization.
All of the above gifts qualify as charitable contributions, and as such are deductible as prescribed by Federal and State tax laws. For further information, please contact Assistant Director Melinda Zoehrer 302-831-0153 email email@example.com or
