William J. Benton Graduate Student Award presented at 2007 Honors Day.
Two outstanding CANR graduate students were recognized with the W. J. Benton Graduate Student Award at Honors Day. Kristian Paul, a Ph.D. student in Plant and Soil Sciences (advisor: Dr. Don Sparks) and Anthony Gonzon, a M.S. student in Entomology and Wildlife Ecology (advisor: Dr. Charles Bartlett) were this year's recipients. The award was established in honor of Dr. William J. Benton (shown above with Kris Paul), former CANR Associate Dean of Research, Associate Director of the University of Delaware Agricultural Experiment Station, and Professor in the Department of Animal and Food Sciences for 36 years.
