PLANT AND SOIL SCIENCES
SAFETY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
Attendees: Jerry Hendricks, Nicole Donofrio, Wendy Honaker, Elaine Eiker
Not Present: Rodney Dempsey, Saengdao Khaokaew. Sherry Kitto assigned to committee, but is on sabbatical.
The meeting was called to order at 11:10 a.m.

Old Business
Fire drill held June 15 in Townsend, Worilow, the Greenhouses and Wilson Farmhouse. In Worrilow, three people had to be asked to evacuate, and several items found in hallway. One student unable to hear alarm due to fan in 215 WOR.
Several SOP's sent to Kevin from last inspection, but have not been approved yet.
NEW BUSINESS
Five Fall classes were registered for WebCT Right To Know trainings .
PLSC 101 Botany
PLSC 204 Intro to Soil Science
PLSC 302 Vegetable Science
PLSC 313 Turf
PLSC 422 Plant Propogation
Intto to Soil Science was aslo registered for Chemical Waste training.
EHS Assistant
It is anticipated that chemical reporting will be required by Homeland Security. and EHS Assistant can faciltate the process. The following PI's have their labs inventory data entered into EHSA: Sparks, Hawk, Meyers, Yoo, Bais, Pautler, Sims, Lee, Jin, Donofrio and Sherrier. Remaining will have item marked on next lab inspection form.
