- Initiate and coordinate local, regional and nationally professional and educational meetings, workshops and programs relating to poultry. Deliver educational material to keep the poultry industry competitive while addressing current and future challenges.
- Respond to request from the public, industry and agencies and provide linkages and information to any party relating to poultry production and waste management issues
- Implement extension demonstrations and applied research projects in the priority areas relating to environmental compatibility, competitiveness and profitability
- Provide advise on my area of expertise which relates to litter alternatives, litter management and litter amendments for improving litter and air quality
