2012 Extension Associate I Site Coordinator, Woodbridge After-School and Summer Program, Georgetown (Level 11) Agriculture Research/Education

THIS IS A GRANT FUNDED POSITION LOCATED IN SUSSEX COUNTY.
REQUIREMENTS: Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in field related to child development with 12 credit hours in child development and 18 months experience working with children in a group setting. Ability to develop and present curriculum, organize special programming, supervise and train staff and volunteers and work with other partner organizations. Communicate effectively and interact well with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds. Partners include Sussex County 4-H, YMCA Resource Center and Woodbridge School District. After-School/Summer Program is located at the Phillis Wheatley Middle School in Bridgeville. Funding provided by a 21st Century Community Learning Grant through Department of Education/DOE
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: This is a Delaware Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) Program; candidate must meet all OCCL requirements including a criminal background check and regularly attend child care credit hour classes. Requires the ability to work flexible hours, possess a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
DUTIES: Under the supervision of the Woodbridge After-School Director, candidate will serve as contact person with partners and outside resources. Develop schedule and curriculum, organize special programs/guest speakers, recruit volunteers/mentors, train staff/volunteers/mentors, and publicity. Assist Director with evaluation, attend required meetings and perform other related duties as assigned.
