Soil tests are recommended when you wish to have a comprehensive analysis of your soil for flower or vegetable garden, lawn or landscape, or for field and pasture. 

Please download the Soil Test Brochure for complete instructions on how to sample your soil for the tests.

Please bring approximately 1/2 sandwich baggie full of soil to the Carvel facility. You will be asked to fill out a brief questionnaire and provide a return address where the results will be sent.

     All soil tests are $10. University of Delaware accepts a personnel or business check, cash or money order. Sorry, we do not accept credit cards. All checks should be payable to the University of Delaware.

    Please allow 3-4 weeks for Universsity of Delaware soil labs in Newark to conduct the test. Results of the tests will be mailed to the address provided in the brief questionnaire.
