Food Safety offerings statewide-2012
Delaware Child Care Providers may attend either session and receive credit for clock hours from OCCL. Dine Safe provides 3 clock hours, ServSafe® provides 8 clock hours.

Food safety in a food service establishment is non-negotiable. Each year, an estimated 6 to 12 million Americans contract food-borne illness as a result of contamination by micro-organisms. These illnesses are preventable. Proper training is the key to preparing food in a safe environment.
The ServSafe® program is the premiere food safety certification offered by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF). The program is designed for the food-service professional.
A ServSafe® certificate from the NRAEF will be awarded to individuals who complete the course and receive a passing grade on the exam. The programs are taught by registered ServSafe® instructors with the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation. The cost for the course covers the training, textbook, lunch and certification examination from the NRAEF. This training helps prepare your establishment to meet Delaware Food Code regulations. *Group discounts apply for 10 or more attendees. Onsite instruction is available to groups with 10 or more attendees.

ServSafe® instruction is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Lunch is provided.
Please observe registration deadline. A three week study period is recommended to review materials before taking the test.
ServSafe® Fees:
$150 for national 5-year certificate
National or Delaware Restaurant Association Member - $130
Three or more registrations from same organization - $130 (NRA or DRA not required)
Re-Test (for those who did not pass prior exams) - $75
Renewal - Those whose certifications are expiring - $150
