I intend to pursue my Masters through the Longwood Graduate Program here at the University of Delaware, and then obtain my PhD. I aspire to use these degrees in order to eventually administer a botanic garden, arboretum, or other public garden.
I chose the University of Delaware after I researched various schools that offered my major. I felt that UD was one of the best schools for my major and that it also offered the best opportunities for achieving my goals. Not only did I find out that Delaware offers excellent graduate programs, but I also found out that there are many internship possibilities at the University and that it is the pioneer school in study abroad.
The atmosphere of the CANR helps to nurture personal success through the close interaction between the students and the faculty. There are many opportunities to get involved, from visiting local attractions, to community service and leadership positions with various clubs.
