After graduation, I would like to work in Cooperative Extension, possibly with the 4-H program, or for a non-profit organization committed to preserving agriculture and/or natural resources. Eventually I would like to attend graduate school.
Of all of the schools on the east coast that offer programs in agriculture and natural resources, Delaware seemed like the best fit for me. The facilities here are amazing and offer hands-on experience to any student, no matter their pursuits. You are able to deal directly with agricutural and natural resource management via the dairy and Webb Farm, as well as the woodlot, and can delve into research in Worrilow or Allen Lab. The students and faculty were another big draw for me. Everyone here is so willing to share their knowledge and experience. The College of Ag and Natural Resources at UD offers the benefits of a large university and the familiarity of a small college--the best of both worlds!
