Part III.
Plant Selection (30 points). You
own a landscaping business and a customer requests that you install two color
beds for their firm. The first bed,
6’ x 10’ with a sign in the middle, surrounds the base of the company’s
sign (the sign is 6’ long, 5’ tall and 2’ above the ground). This is a
sunny spot that is relatively dry. This
bed must have a great deal of color (yellow) from spring to frost.
The second bed, 4’ deep by 10’ long, is at the entrance to the
building. This area is only partly
sunny with moist soil. The customer
would like some more unusual plants in this garden.
The primary summer flower color should be blue/purple. Please list ten plants to be massed for each garden, numbers
1-3 are plants in the front third of the garden (short), 4-7 are in the middle
(intermediate) and 8-10 are in the back of the garden (tall).
