test is composed of two parts; matching (60 points) and list five (40 points).
Please write legibly so I can read your answers and if you use common names,
avoid ambiguity. Answers should be derived from the plant lists, required texts
for the course or lecture material.
Part
I Matching (60 pts).
Fill in the appropriate letter under each category for each plant, using
the letter from the key provided. Indicate
the primary ornamental characteristics for each plant (ornamentation) and then
indicate the color of this primary characteristic.
As an example, if the primary ornamental characteristic is the fruit,
what is the color of the fruit, or if the primary ornamental characteristic is
foliage, what color is the foliage in
addition to green. Green can
only be used as a color if the foliage is the primary ornamental characteristic
and there is no other color than green in the foliage.
If a plant is evergreen, please indicate this by selection the evergreen
option. In the last column,
indicate the plant’s preferred light requirements in which it will grow.

II Plant selection (40 pts). Please list plants that are
best suited to the conditions stated. The use of the word “perennial” refers the hardy nature
of the plant, not that it be derived from the perennial plant list.
