PLS 211
HERBACEOUS
LANDSCAPE PLANTS
TEST 3
Fall 1996
Name __________________________________
This test is
composed of two parts; matching (60 points) and list five (40 points). You may
use either scientific or common names and spelling will not be graded. Please
write legibly so I can read your answers and if you use common names, avoid
ambiguity. Answers should be derived from the vines and groundcovers, ornamental
grass, "bulb", or fern plant lists.
Part I.
Matching (60 pts). Fill in the
appropriate letter under each category for each plant.
List only one flower color
(were appropriate) for each plant. Select
the flowering time that is most representative for that species; list only one
season. Plant height
should not include flowers unless flowers are present
for more than half the growing season.
Therefore, the height of
most grasses will include the inflorescence in the height of the plant.
