Dr. D. Janine Sherrier

Education
  • Ph.D., Biology, Texas A&M University, 1994
  • B.S., Biology, Baylor University, 1988
Current Courses
  • Plant Developmental Biology
  • Plant Biotechnology
  • Current Topics of Plant Biology
Research
  • Sherrier Lab
  • The current research of the Sherrier lab focuses on the symbiotic relationship between plants in the legume family and the soil microbe rhizobia and the resulting development of a nitrogen-fixing root nodule. Complementary areas of research within her laboratory include plant pathogen interactions, plant development, and proteomics, a relatively new area of research focusing on protein composition of biological tissues.
