Research
My research addresses a variety of issues related to public horticulture administration, including how botanic gardens and arboreta collaborate with other institutions, conduct and evaluate educational programs, interpret their collections, raise monies for special projects and general operations, and how they engage volunteers, for example. All research is in conjunction with the 10 graduate Fellows in the Program. The Longwood Graduate Program grants the M.S. degree upon completion of thesis research; graduates go on to leadership positions in public horticulture institutions.
