Brookmont Farms Community Strengthening

GOAL 1: Strengthen families in the Brookmont Farms community

Sub-goal 1.1: Build a strong community
- Objective 1.1.1: People will have the capability and tools to understand, influence and lead change in their community.
- Objective 1.1.2: Working with the community, develop and implement strategies to provide a safe community and attractive environment in which children, youth and adults can be supported.
Sub-goal 1.2: Build strong families
- Objective 1.2.1 Young adults, adults and parents will develop life skills that will assist them in becoming more adept at parenting, nutrition, personal financial management and resource management as well as increase access to community resources and support networks.
- Objective 1.2.2: Assist child care providers in becoming licensed by providing training and assisting with licensing requirements.
Sub-goal 1.3: Develop capable youth
- Objective 1.3.1: Youth will improve decision-making and develop skills necessary to reduce at-risk behaviors such as teen pregnancy, drug/alcohol use and criminal activity.
- Objective 1.3.2: Youth will improve decision making and develop skills necessary that lead to employability and high school completion.
Sub-goal 4: Develop capable children
- Objective 1.4.1: parents will adopt strategies that will allow children to grow up in a safe and healthy environment as this relates to toy, pedestrian, seat belt and child restraint safety.
