Stephanie Kuniholm holds a degree in Environmental Studies from Eastern University, located in St. David’s, PA. During her time at Eastern, she completed an internship at Tyler Arboretum, an experience that confirmed her love of public horticulture. After graduating, she accepted a position as the Hamilton Educational Fellow at Jenkins Arboretum & Gardens where she spent the next few years immersed in the understated beauty of Pennsylvania’s native plants. Not only did she gain an appreciation for the flora of PA, she also completed a Certificate of Merit in Ornamental Horticulture from Longwood Gardens and a Certificate in Principles of Fundraising from Villanova University.
In 2013, Stephanie made her way across the river, taking the position of McLean Contributionship Endowed Education Intern at the Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania. Working alongside the talented staff at the Morris Arboretum, Stephanie has been researching the interactions between continuing education, volunteerism, and giving. In the Longwood Graduate Program, she hopes to continue studying these interactions with the ambition of one day directing programs and outreach at a public garden.
