Having grown up in the USDA zone 5a of Upstate NY, with snowy winters that could span 6 months, Aubree greatly appreciates anything green.
While attending Andrews University (Berrien Springs, MI) she aided a design firm as their AutoCAD technician, but also worked in the university production greenhouses, orchards, and herbarium. In 2007 she graduated with a Bachelors of Technology in Horticulture. Immediately following graduation, Aubree left the U.S. for an internship at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew where she worked with the Public Programmes and Curatorial Support Systems department.
She spent time as a Landscape Designer in New York City and two years later accepted an internship at Longwood Gardens. There she assisted in a web interfaced interactive collections program; now you can access Longwood’s collections online!
As a Fellow in the Longwood Graduate Program, Aubree hopes to explore technology integ ration within public gardens.
