Master's Degree
- All Master's degree students must register for two semesters of OR seminars and attend at least 80% of the seminars in any semester.
- Thesis Option: A minimum of 33 (recommended 36) credits is required for the Master of Science degree. About 40 percent of the program is comprised of Operations Research core courses; another 40 percent involves course work in the student's subject area. The remaining 20 percent of the program is devoted to the preparation of the thesis.
- Non-Thesis Option: A minimum of 33 (recommended 36) credits is required for the Master of Science degree. About 40 percent of the program is comprised of Operations Research core courses; another 40 percent involves course work in the student's subject area. The remaining 20 percent of the program is devoted to the internship.
- One year in residence (i.e. course taking) and six thesis credits are required.

- ECON 801, Microeconomic Theory - For those with no economics background
- ECON 81, Advanced Microeconomic Analysis - A more advanced course
- MATH 631, Introduction to Stochastic Processes - Mathematical sciences course
Exit Interview
It should be noted that any graduate from the Operations Research Program is required to have an exit interview with the Director of the program before his thesis / dissertation is signed. The purpose of the confidential interview is to uncover weaknesses as well as strengths of the program and thus is designed to improve our educational efforts.
