University of Delaware Cooperative Extension and the Office of Highway Safety have collaborated to form a comprehensive community traffic safety program (CTSP) in each county.
These programs have proven effective in developing and implementing strategies aimed at saving lives and preventing injuries on our highways. The program emphasizes coordinating educators, law enforcement, engineers, and other safety advocates to promote safer highways.
This mission is compatible with the mission of Cooperative Extension to increase family and community quality of life.
Traffic safety affects everyone regardless of age, sex, race, or economic standard. The three main focus areas of this program are:
Traffic Safety | Alcohol Awareness
Bicycle Helmet Law |
AirBag Safety Alert | Zero Tolerance Law (underage alcohol)
