Plan of Work
Introduction
New Castle County Cooperative Extension works in the community under the guidance of a 5-year Plan of Work. The current Plan runs from 1998 - 2002. The Plan defines areas of need, describes goals and objectives, identifies available and needed resources, and recommends methods to evaluate the impact of programs.
Th Plan represents the efforts of not only Extension staff, but also the many partners in the planning process, including:
- community, business and industry leaders
- service agency representatives
- Extension Advisory Council
- 4-H Leaders
- Master Gardener volunteer educatorss
- Master Foods Educator volunteers
- concerned and interested citizens
- faculty and staff of the University of Delaware and Delaware State University.

The current Plan focuses on six areas of particular importance to New Castle County:
