4-H Clubskids in greenhouse

New Castle County is home to many 4-H clubs for youth ages 5-18. The clubs are located throughout the county. 4-H’ers learn life skills through a variety of 4-H projects:

  • livestock and horses
  • pets
  • nutrition
  • clothing,
  • photography
  • bicycle safety,
  • woodworking, and more!

Although a 4-H’er may take any project, some clubs specialize in a project area. For example, the Guiding Paws 4-H Club raises puppies who will become Seeing Eye dogs.

Younger children, ages 5-7, can get started in 4-H with Cloverbud clubs.
