Arden Green, Wilmington
The garden was built on the lower corner of the village green to collect runoff from the field.

Construction:
- Depth: 4 inches below grade, excavated to a depth of 4 ½ feet
- Fill: A foot of sand was laid in the bottom; the rest was filled with a mix of excavated soil and sand
- Overflow: A path of riverstone leads overflow water to a storm water drain
- Plant material: Native trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plants
- Extras: A mound was built on the lower edge of the garden to collect the runoff.
