Wise Money DE
This website provides K-12 Educators and youth with financial literacy resources that include curriculum/lessons, websites, and background resources for financial management and consumer education topics. All of the curriculum are aligned with Delaware State Department of Education standards so educators can determine the best way to integrate financial management education in their classrooms.
Cooperative Extension offers educator in-service and support for this limited resource and reading level young adult curriculum. These free materials are developed and distributed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) .
4-H project books support middle school students in learning basic financial skills and concepts. In addition, a statewide team Consumer Champions Competition encourages youth to work together in learning these concepts. Websites help support youth learning. Including the Financial Champions website developed by 4-H and InCharge Institute of America Inc.
This curriculum resource provides leader's guides for several financial and consumer education related storybooks. The storybooks and their corresponding activities support financial literacy development in preschool and young readers. An excellent resource for childcare providers and those working with elementary school level youth.
