Continuing Education for Nutrient Management

If you are certified by the Delaware Nutrient Management Program you will need to attend programs that offer continuing education units to maintain your certification. The number of continuing education units that you need depends on your level of certification.

Nutrient Generators must attend 6 hours of continuing education before their certification expires (every three years).
Private Nutrient Handlers must attend 6 hours of continuing education before their certification expires (every three years).
Commercial Nutrient Handlers must attend 6 hours of continuing education before their certification expires (every three years).
Nutrient Consultants must attend 5 hours of continuing education every year.

Online Continuing Education Credits To obtain Delaware Nutrient Management Credits online: Read one of the publications below. Answer the questions. Once you have the completed the questions, they will be automatically emailed to the University of Delaware Nutrient Management Program. If you answer 80% of the questions corrently you will recieve the assigned Delaware Nutrient Management Continuing Education Credit. You can only recieve credit for completing the questions ONCE. Please attach a timed and detailed agenda with a completed application form (included on this website) at least 10 business days prior to the start of the program. You will be notified by mail or email how many continuing education units have been awarded to your program once your application has been reviewed.
