4-H Legislative Day

Delaware 4‐H Legislative Day promotes Delaware 4‐H. It is an educational opportunity to learn about Delaware’s government and an opportunity to express appreciation to our legislators for their continued support of 4‐H.

4-H Legislative Day 2011

The 6th Annual 4-H Legislative Day was held on Wednesday, May 4th at Legislative Hall in Dover with over 98 participants attending.  It was a great educational day for everyone to learn more about state government by attending various workshops by the State Department of Public Archives, Delaware Department of Education, Superior Court Judge William Vaughn, Delaware State Education Association, First State Heritage Park (tours of Legislative Hall), and Senator Gary Simpson.  The day ended with a 4-H Rally in the Old State House with Lt. Governor Matt Denn in attendance, a performance by the State 4-H Choir, and attendees sitting in the balcony of the House Chambers in Legislative Hall to view government in action and to hear State 4-H Teen Council President Sara Somers present comments on the floor regarding 4-H Legislative Day to our state representatives.  This was a great day of learning and interaction for everyone!
