MY MOST MEMORABLE AG DAY EXPERIENCE: in 2009 when the ag day class wanted to get me a donkey to ride around on since I was 7 months pregnant

THE BEST THING TO DO AT AG DAY IS: Watch the hard work of the clubs, organizations, entertainers, and Ag Day Team payoff (and EAT!)

AN INTERESTING FACT ABOUT THE COLLEGE OF AG & NR THAT I RECENTLY LEARNED:  We are one of very few colleges with an undergraduate program in entomology

MY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR AG DAY:  Whatever Katy tells me to do!  Also, make sure everyone is happy and has a wonderful day!

MY MOST MEMORABLE AG DAY EXPERIENCE:  As part of a fundraiser, several CANR students in 2009 paid to have a pie thrown into my face.  I was sticky for hours! 

THE BEST THING TO DO AT AG DAY IS: People watch.  Sit down with a cone of UDCreamery Ice Cream, listen to the bands, and just watch everyone enjoy the fact that Spring is finally here! 

AN INTERESTING FACT ABOUT THE COLLEGE OF AG & NR THAT I RECENTLY LEARNED:  Ag Day will celebrate its 35th anniversary this year!

MY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR AG DAY: Assist students with the overall planning of Ag Day.

MY MOST MEMORABLE AG DAY EXPERIENCE: ALMOST getting pied in the face. Carol saved me because she knew my engagement pictures were the next day. Thanks Carol!

THE BEST THING TO DO AT AG DAY IS: Eat!  There are so many options! Hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream, pulled pork, cotton candy, and more…

AN INTERESTING FACT ABOUT THE COLLEGE OF AG & NR THAT I RECENTLY LEARNED: The UD Creamery is breaking ground this spring!  Since I have no self-control with food, that may be a problem.

MY MOST MEMORABLE AG DAY EXPERIENCE:  Being able to bring my family to my first Ag Day and showing them what college is like at the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

THE BEST THING TO DO AT AG DAY IS:  Grabbing a UDairy ice cream cone and sitting and listening to one of the many musical acts perform.

MY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR AG DAY: PR and Education committees

MY MOST MEMORABLE AG DAY EXPERIENCE: Well this past Ag day, I worked the grill at the Food Science Club booth. Spending a whole day grilling veggie burgers and hot dogs in extreme heat was quite entertaining.

THE BEST THING TO DO AT AG DAY IS: Eat the pulled pork sandwiches... I love them!

AN INTERESTING FACT ABOUT THE COLLEGE OF AG & NR THAT I RECENTLY LEARNED: There is a USDA beneficial insect research laboratory on South Campus.

MY MOST MEMORABLE AG DAY EXPERIENCE: Having my niece experience her first Ag Day in 2009 and trekking through the mud floor of the tent next to Worrilow

THE BEST THING TO DO AT AG DAY IS: It's a tie between listening to all the great performers and eating UD Creamery ice cream

AN INTERESTING FACT ABOUT THE COLLEGE OF AG & NR THAT I RECENTLY LEARNED: That Animal Science students make blankets from the wool of sheep from the UD Farm!

MY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR AG DAY: Entertainment and Volunteers

MY MOST MEMORABLE AG DAY EXPERIENCE: Since I'm a local the first time I attended Ag Day I was probably in 9th or 10th grade.  It was my first up close experience with the College of Ag and the first time I really thought about spending four years here.

THE BEST THING TO DO AT AG DAY IS: Help clean up, right? ;) (If I say it enough maybe volunteers will believe me)

AN INTERESTING FACT ABOUT THE COLLEGE OF AG & NR THAT I RECENTLY LEARNED: We have an "ecology woods," on our part of campus and somehow I missed that.

MAJOR: Animal Science Major, Pre-Veterinary Medicine concentration, Legal Studies Minor

HOMETOWN: New Hope, Pennsylvania

MY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR AG DAY: Volunteer Committee: recruiting and organizing volunteers so Ag Day can run smoothly! Education Committee: Contacting and coordinating acts for the education stage, and thinking of new, fun demonstrations that visitors will enjoy! 

MY MOST MEMORABLE AG DAY EXPERIENCE: As a member of the Animal Science Club, I was able to show off a baby blue hen (our mascot) while teaching visitors about real blue hens! 

THE BEST THING TO DO AT AG DAY IS: Eat a little bit of food from every table while learning about the Ag School and its students!

AN INTERESTING FACT ABOUT THE COLLEGE OF AG & NR THAT I RECENTLY LEARNED: We are currently making our own ice cream and wool blankets, shorn from UD sheep!

MAJOR: Animal Science: Prevet Concentration

MY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR AG DAY: To recruit and make sure we have responsible, productive volunteers for Ag Day. I am also responsible for finding fun entertainment groups that will peak the interest everyone attending Ag Day.

MY MOST MEMORABLE AG DAY EXPERIENCE: Eating the UDairy Creamery ice cream, it's delicious!!

THE BEST THING TO DO AT AG DAY IS: Eat Food! Trust me, get as much of it as you can, and don't forget about the ice cream!

AN INTERESTING FACT ABOUT THE COLLEGE OF AG & NR THAT I RECENTLY LEARNED: How hard the Ag Day Planning committee works to make Ag Day successful. Volunteering at one of the booths is way way different than actually being part of the creation of Ag Day. I had no idea that the committee starts to plan Ag Day all the way in September, and I also had no idea that there was so much to do to prepare for it!

MY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR AG DAY: I'm on the logistics and exhibitors committee, so basically working on the layout of the exhibitors, and planning parking and traffic control so that Ag day goes smoothly.

MY MOST MEMORABLE AG DAY EXPERIENCE: Making sure the little kids didn't squish the baby chicks when they were petting them at the Animal Science tent.

THE BEST THING TO DO AT AG DAY: Eat a pulled pork sandwich with a glass of freshly squeezed lemonade while listening to the band playing is the best.

AN INTERESTING FACT ABOUT THE COLLEGE OF AG & NR THAT I RECENTLY LEARNED: I recently discovered in my Apiology and Apiculture class that there is an Apiary on the UD campus!

MY MOST MEMORABLE AG DAY EXPERIENCE:  Getting to know and work with great people

THE BEST THING TO DO AT AG DAY IS: Get UDairy Ice Cream!!!!

AN INTERESTING FACT ABOUT THE COLLEGE OF AG & NR THAT I RECENTLY LEARNED:  Milk from the dairy cows currently go to HyPoint Farms, until we have our own creamery built!

MY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR AG DAY:  Tracking Financials, All Aspects of Secretarial Support (paying invoices, processing S-Contracts, placing some orders), Sales, Shopping for Committee, Credit Card Guru, Cheerleader and Fairy Godmother

MY MOST MEMORABLE AG DAY EXPERIENCE:  Getting to Townsend Hall at 7 a.m. and seeing the giant pigs roasting and some of the students handing me pulled pork at 7 a.m.

THE BEST THING TO DO AT AG DAY IS: Take pictures.  Also, attend the plant sale, eat all types of food, watching live shows, listen to live music, see lots of different exhibits and eat ice cream.  Hopefully enjoy a beautiful day.
