Known host plants:
Tylanira bifurca - Prosopis sp. (mesquite, Fabaceae)
Tylanira ustulata - Prosopis juliflora (Sw.) DC.
Hosts from Wilson et al. 1994; plant names from USDA PLANTS or Tropicos.
Recognition:
Hind wings absent or rudimentary, body elongate (not rounded as in Paralixes), wings not strongly reticulate; intermediate carinae of front present, raised; Vertex deeply emarginate at apex forming lateral triangular projections inclined upward.

Adults are evidently taken sweeping or beating.
