My research interests have typically involved some aspect of biological control. For example, some of my previous research projects include the impact of insecticides on insect predators in turfgrass, entomopathogenic nematode infection dynamics, multi-trophic interactions in turfgrass, and conservation biological control in pecan orchards.Current research projects focus on armored scale, pesticide efficacy testing, and boxwood leaf miner.
- My position as the ornamentals IPM extension specialist is 75% extension and 25% research. Some of my extension responsibilities include master gardener training, industry workshops, writing articles for local trade journals, and a weblog featuring pictures of various pest insects found feeding on woody ornamentals.
