Services Not Offered by the UD Soil Testing Program
Below are listed services that the Soil Testing Program does not offer. Guidance is given to organizations that may provide testing of these materials.
Pesticides / Herbicides
The UD Soil Testing Program does not offer tests of soil for pesticide or herbicide contamination. Check your local yellow pages or search the internet for environmental testing laboratories.
Oil / Gas
The UD Soil Testing Program does not offer tests of soil for oil or gasoline contamination. Check your local yellow pages or search the internet for environmental testing laboratories.
Drinking Water Testing

Synthetic Organics (PCB, PAH, etc.)
The UD Soil Testing Program does not offer tests of soil for synthetic organics contamination. Check your local yellow pages or search the internet for environmental testing laboratories.
Plant Disease
The Plant Diagnostic Clinic at the University of Delaware accepts plant samples showing signs or symptoms of disease. The Clinic is housed in the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences at the University of Delaware in Newark , and operates as a function of Delaware Cooperative Extension. Plant Pest Identification

On-Site Soil Tests (Septic Systems)
The UD Soil Testing Program does not offer testing of soil for septic systems. Check your local yellow pages or search the internet for businesses offering septic systems soil testing.
