UD Soil Testing Program - Soil Test Kit Mailer
The University of Delaware Soil Testing Program, in an effort to provide easier access to soil test kits, has put together "Mailer" kits that are available at several local garden centers, landscaping firms, seed companies, and extension offices. The locations below are in addition to the three Cooperative Extension Service offices in Delaware, and the UD Soil Testing Program offices in Newark, at which you can purchase Soil Test Kits directly. Each "Mailer kit" contains:
- "Instructions for Submitting a Soil Sample Using this Mailer" sheet;
- "How Do I Have My Soil Tested" sheet;
- Sample "Information Sheet - Lawns and Gardens";
- Payment Record form;
- "How To Take a Soil Sample For Home Lawns and Gardens" brochure;
- Soil Test Sample Bag
- Recommendations For Returning Samples To The UDSTP Lab
Note: The Soil Test Kit "Mailer" is available at no cost. Payment for the soil testing is made when the sample is submitted for analysis. Payment options include: enclosing a check or money order with the sample; payment by credit card (client will be contacted by the UD Soil Testing Program staff for credit card information upon receipt of the sample); or requesting an invoice from the University of Delaware Billing Deparment be issued.
