Creamery Student Management Team
The Creamery Student Management Team is composed of four undergraduate students. These students are responsible for developing the UDairy Creamery as a profitable, independent, and sustainable business.
Jacob Hunt, Assistant Manager
Born and Raised in Fredon, NJ, Jacob’s family has been farming some of the same land for 400 years. Since 5th grade he has raised his own Holstein show cows and for the past 10 years has worked on his family’s retail orchard. From this dedication to his family business, Jacob saw what a great and unique opportunity it would be to work with UDairy Creamery in order to develop a truly local, and truly fresh product, and be able to market it to the general public.
Rebecca Sheahan, Business Manager
Rebecca is a junior agriculture education and animal and food science double major from Dover, Delaware. Rebecca owns a small livestock farm and from managing the farm she has learned what it takes to make a small business successful. Rebecca’s role involves developing innovative and successful marketing strategies as well as maintain all financial records of the creamery. Rebecca applied for the internship with the UDairy Creamery because she saw it as a great opportunity to grow in agriculture through a unique learning experience. Rebecca is excited to help the UDairy Creamery expand and reach its potential as an outstanding business. She hopes to see the creamery achieve new heights this coming year and is thrilled to be a part of such hard working team.
Teresa Brodeur, Dairy/Food Science Manager
Teresa is a junior food science major with minors in chemistry and biological science from Wilmington, Delaware. Teresa has a profound passion for confectionary food science and saw this internship as an opportunity to explore this aspect of food science more deeply. This internship allows Teresa to utilize the knowledge and skills she has learned in her major and apply them in an actual production facility setting. In addition, Teresa aspires to run her own business and believes that this internship will provide her with the skills necessary to operate a successful food service facility.
Jenna Byers, Communications/Marketing Manager
Jenna is a sophomore food and agribusiness marketing and management major with a minor in animal science from Newark, DE. This internship allows Jenna to apply the business and marketing concepts that she has learned in the classroom to the real world. Jenna is looking forward to developing the Creamery's marketing agenda, planning for events, and spreading the word about the Creamery to the University community.
The Creamery is also proudly supervised by Senior Management major, Leigh Ann Tona, Senior Animal Science major, Meghan Thompson and Awesome Junior Wildlife Conservation major Reene Poole!
