UDairy Creamery at the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources
The University of Delaware’s College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) is in the early stages of developing a creamery on the UD campus. The creamery will:
- Focus on sustaining agriculture and natural ecosystems in the face of land use change;
- Be a student-centered, faculty supported enterprise;
- Cut across many UD colleges and disciplines in its educational efforts; and
- Reach out to the community and engage alumni.
Since the first batch of UDairy ice cream was made in the fall of 2008, the ice cream has been provided at CANR events including homecoming, holiday events, student club events, agriculture industry workshops and open houses, President Harker’s homecoming tailgate, and others. UDairy vanilla ice cream is also provided to Vita Nova. Visit the Events and Highlights page to find where YOU can sample UDairy ice cream this fall!
