The 4th International Workshop on the Molecular Pathogenesis of Marek’s disease virus was held August 5th to August 8th at the John M. Clayton Conference Center at the University of Delaware. There were approximately 75 registered attendees with a total of 45 oral presentations and 6 posters. The invited speakers were Dr. Lynn Enquist (Princeton University), Dr. Pam Green (Delaware Biotechnology Institute), Dr. Joan Steitz (Yale University) and Dr. Erle Robertson (University of Pennsylvania). These presentations punctuated sessions focused on MDV genomics, molecular biology, pathogenicity, oncogenicity and control and inspired many spirited discussions. The abstract booklet from this very productive meeting is available in pdf form. Submitted photographs from this meeting are posted, as well. The success of this meeting was made possible by financial support from many Industrial partners, for whose contributions we are very grateful.

Travel awards from the USDA (for US researchers) and from Industry contributions (International researchers) will be distributed within the coming month.
