UD Cooperative Extension’s Call to Action
Delaware Cooperative Extension is in a unique position to respond to the challenges faced by families and business in these difficult economic times. Our connection to communities through our youth and adult clientele and partners, our expertise in agriculture, horticulture, family resource management, and nutrition/wellness and our capacity to rally our deeply committed personnel to address issues in a timely manner illustrate our capacity to meet the needs of Delawareans. Efforts are focused on: food resource development – assisting distribution agencies such as the Food Bank to acquire food for redistribution; and support of families - providing informational resources and referrals that will assist them in better money management and gardening and food resource management, information regarding how to manage during tough times.
