During your undergraduate education, explore a variety of experiences through internships, research experience, and extracurricular activities. Use your academic advisor as a valuable resource, talk to your professors, and find a faculty mentor. At some point, you will need to ask people to write you letters of recommendation. Whoever you ask should know you well and be able to speak highly of you. By gaining diverse experiences and making connections, you will make yourself more marketable in today’s highly competitive world of work.
