Bioresources Engineering | Engineering Technology Objectives

Engineering Technology is about giving life to ideas and turning visions into realities. With a blend of technical skills and scientific and engineering knowledge, the major teaches students to creatively handle challenges associated with manufacturing processes, construction design, project management, machinery systems, and environmental issues.

Engineering Technology Objectives

The Engineering Technology program publishes the following program educational objectives as broad statements describing expected accomplishments of its graduates during the first few years after graduation.

1. Graduates will be prepared with a solid foundation in mathematics, sciences, and technical skills needed for construction, consulting, government or other related professions.

2. Graduates will have strong written, oral and graphical communication skills and the ability to work effectively on multidisciplinary teams.

3. Graduates will have the ability to assume leadership roles in their profession, the educational background to pursue professional licensure or other certifications and will recognize the need for life long learning.
