Dissertation Title: Automatic Navigation Control of an Agricultural Combine
Key features of the project included the development of two novel machine vision algorithms, a fuzzy vehicle controller and an electrohydraulic steering controller. - Dr. Benson’s research interests center around applied poultry engineering and emergency poultry disease response. During an emergency poultry disease response, the critical steps are surveillance, quarantine, depopulation, disposal, and disinfection. Dr. Benson is currently extensively involved in the 3-D’s: depopulation, disposal, and disinfection.
