Personal

Dr. Griffiths received her B.S. in Animal Science from Cornell University where she did a senior thesis on taste preferences in captive (zoo) carnivores.  Her M.S. and Ph.D. are in Animal Nutrition (mono-gastric) from Purdue University. She joined the faculty in 1987 and served as the Associate Dean for Academic Programs in the College from 1996 – 2001.  She is presently serving as Director for the Center for International Studies.    In addition to ANSC 101, she teaches swine production and she co-directs the Animal Science study abroad program in New Zealand. She lives in Cecil County, Maryland with her husband, kids, several Percheron draft horses, cats, dogs and other pets.
