Exploraion Days

To promote an understanding of the diverse disciplines within the sciences, the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Delaware is proud to sponsor Exploration Day each fall! Although we offer over 20 programs of study in the college, we offer three tracks for students at Exploration Days. As a Student Explorer, you will participate in a program focused on Plant & Soil Sciences, Food Science, or Poultry Science.

Each year, approximately 30 high school students are invited to a full day of educational activities on campus.

Food Science Exploration DayYour time on campus will include:

  • And other related activities

Plant & Soil Sciences topics include:

  • Landscape Design
  • Soil and Water Quality
  • Molecular Microscopy
  • Plant Diseases
Food Science topics include:
  • Food Quality and Safety
  • New Product Development
  • Food Processing and Engineering
  • Food Packaging
