What do you like about the UD College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR)?
I really enjoy the close-knit system of professors and students that CANR has. Even though the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources has a large population of both students and faculty, I have yet to have an issue with coming into contact with a professor for help or just to talk. Other aspects I love about CANR are the outside resources. The butterfly garden is one of my favorite places to go when I need to relax or take a break from reality.
What is your most memorable CANR or UD experience?
The butterfly garden is one of my favorite places to go when I need to relax or take a break from reality.
My most memorable experience so far at UD occurred during my very first week at school. The class of 2016 had our candle-lighting ceremony the second or third day after move-in. It was such a moving experience, 4,000+ students coming together as a class and lighting candles in unity. It just reminded me that I am never alone at UD.
What are your career goals?
My career goals after UD will hopefully include graduate school or working abroad studying/researching exotic animals. I would love to work in Africa or South America. It would be awesome to develop tactics to protect wildlife from poaching. I don’t have a particular job in mind, but as long as I’m working outside or with animals I know I will be happy where ever I am.
What is an interesting or unusual fact about you?
An interesting fact about me is that when I sneeze I occasionally sound like an elephant.
What is your favorite book, movie, or song?
My favorite movie would be Secondhand Lions. My favorite book(s) are the Hunger Games trilogy, and my favorite song is anything sung by John Mayer.
