What do you like about the UD College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR)?
I love the farm and being on the farm, the dairy cows especially are one of my favorites. I love how the CANR is such a close-knit community within a large university. When you’re on the farm you don’t even feel like you’re in the middle of Newark, DE anymore it is just such an amazing place to be and spend time. The teachers are all top-notch too and really go out of their way to make sure you’re learning and understanding the material. There are so many different opportunities to get involved in CANR and Ag Day is always so much fun.

What is your most memorable CANR or UD experience?
Raising a dairy calf as part of the Honors ANFS101: Intro to Animal Science class. Every Monday, I would get to go to the farm and work with the dairy calves along with the other honors students. I came to realize that each cow has its own unique personality and they are definitely crazy and mischievous little animals!
What are your career goals?
To become a veterinarian. I don’t know what area I want to specialize in yet.
What is an interesting or unusual fact about you?
I have been zip lining through the rainforest canopies in Costa Rica while it was actually pouring down rain.
What is your favorite book, movie, or song?
Book: The Goblin Wood by Hilari Bell
Movie: Remember the Titans
Song: Wanted by Hunter Hayes
