What do you like about the UD College of Agriculture and Natural Resources?
The best part about the College of Agriculture is that the farms are right on campus. They are so close and convenient, that you can even walk to them from main campus!
What is your most memorable Ag or UD experience?
My favorite Ag experience was attending Ag day my freshman year. It was not just a school wide event, but the entire community came out to support the fair! The DJ threw down some great tunes, UDairy officially opened (needless to say my friends and I indulged... soo good!), and we rode the ponies to name a few of the many entertaining things we stumbled upon while we were there! My favorite memory at UD is split a million different ways between Friday night swing dancing until we were too tired to continue, or weekend trips with the outing club, or just cheering on the football team alongside my best friends on the weekends!
What are your career goals?
My career goal is to become a veterinarian surgeon right now. I would love to work at UPenn's New Bolton Center eventually, but I am going to take my life one day at a time and see where it takes me. Life is a journey and not a destination-- so tomorrow I could be introduced to a new idea or skill that could misdirect my immediate course for another. At some point though, I would love to do a medical mission in a third world country for a period of time. I would be about the backpack the world while educating people of better medical practices. What could be better?!
What is an interesting or unusual fact about you?
Hmm... an unusual fact about me?....I have ridden a horse, a llama, a camel, and an elephant.... but I still think I am going to stick to the eventing with my horse!
What is your favorite book, movie, or song?
My favorite book was, and still is, "The Phantom Tollbooth". It was one of the first novels I read and I still remember some lines that made me laugh to this day! Another favorite would definitely have to be "Harry Potter!" I like to rate movies by the amount of times I quote the movie in my everyday vernacular. Usually, my family and I will quote lines from a movie that has to do with the situation someone is in at that moment. That being said, my top three movies would have to be "My Cousin Vinny", "Airplane", and "Young Frankenstein". Also, a short series called "Lonesome Dove" would complete an entire conversation at the dinner table!
