What do you like about the UD College of Agriculture and Natural Resources?
I like that the UD College of Agriculture and Natural Resources is a smaller college within the University of Delaware.  Its intimate size enables the students to get to know the other students in their major and the other students in the other majors.  While I am in Ag classes, I noticed that I receive more attention from the professor due to the smaller class size, which is helpful in forming a relationship with your professor.

What is your most memorable Ag or UD experience?
My most memorable experience so far in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources is the dairy lab.  During the dairy cow lab, the students were given the opportunity to pretend that we were artificially inseminating a cow and we were introduced to our school’s milking parlor in which we even saw a cow that has mastitis. I loved this lab because I felt that it was one of the most hands-on labs that students were allowed to participate in so early in the curriculum.  My biggest attraction to the programs offered at the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources was the hands-on component.  I am a very visual learner so this lab enabled me to fully understand what I was learning in class.  I also enjoyed this lab in particular because many of the students were not too familiar with cows before taking Introduction to Animal Science and we helped each other and bonded over the defecation situation each of us experienced.  For the first time, I felt the tight-knit bonds that the Ag Ambassador I met with when I first visited the Ag College promised would occur.  I was finally able to understand the benefits of being a member of the smallest college on campus.

What are your career goals?
I hope to become an equine veterinarian.  However, if I do not get into veterinary school right away, I would be interested in doing research dealing with animal genetics.

What is an interesting or unusual fact about you?
I have been 5 feet, 2 inches since I was in fifth grade.

What is your favorite book, movie, or song?
My favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.  My favorite movie is Across the Universe.  My favorite song is Strawberry Fields Forever by the Beatles or the Boxer by Simon and Garfunkel.
