What do you like about the UD College of Agriculture and Natural Resources?
I love that the UD College of Agriculture and Natural Resources is such a closely knit community. Through classes and clubs, you really get to know the people in the college, and they get to know you, too. Even as a first semester freshman, I met so many upperclassmen who were always willing to help me with any problems I had, or give me advice about my classes. Even the professors know their students by name! Because the University of Delaware has over 16,000 students, I was afraid that I was going to be lost in the crowd. However, because of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, I instead feel like a valuable and accepted member of the UD community.

What is your most memorable Ag or UD experience?
My favorite Ag experience thus far in my UD career was definitely getting to work with dairy calves in the Honors section of the Introduction to Animal Science class (ANFS 101.) I had never worked with any farm animals before, and having such an involved, hands-on experience so quickly was, in my opinion, absolutely amazing. Where else can you deworm and vaccinate a dairy calf three months into your first semester of college? Watching the calf grow month by month and helping to socialize it was something I will never forget.

What are your career goals?
As of right now, my career goal is to go to veterinary school, (preferably at the University of Pennsylvania,) and eventually start work as a small animal veterinarian. I want to be a dog specialist, because dogs are my favorite animal. I may even want to open my own veterinary clinic someday. I would also love to be a dog breeder in my spare time. It would be amazing to develop a new breed!

What is an interesting or unusual fact about you?
I'm always so bad at coming up with answers to this question! Let's see, something unusual about me is that, even though I want to be a veterinarian, I have never owned a dog or cat, (or anything bigger than a hamster,) before, because I was never allowed. Also, I'm a little afraid of cats, which is something I definitely need to get over as soon as possible. On a more random note, I can wiggle my ears and I just learned how to solve a Rubik's cube!

What is your favorite book, movie, or song?

Music is one of my favorite things, and I have so many songs that I like - way too many to name! As of right now, though, my absolute favorites are Time by Cute Is What We Aim For, Young Forever by Jay-Z, and Blinded by Third Eye Blind.
