Welcome…
The story of American agriculture is one of the greatest successes of the 20th century. Today, our food is abundant, inexpensive, and easily acquired. Modern agriculture is a highly sophisticated science involving biology, chemistry, biotechnology, engineering, genomics, economics, computer science, and many other disciplines. Despite our plenty, one of the most significant challenges facing our world is providing food and fiber to all people everywhere without compromising our precious natural resources.
At the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, we are committed to addressing issues in animal and plant biology including health, welfare, and production issues, and to environmental stewardship. We do this through our educational programs, our research, and our outreach to communities. We value hands-on learning experiences for our students and ourselves. Independent research projects, service learning, and study abroad programs abound, and our faculty are a rich resource committed to learning, personal development, and shared discovery.
